  Interoute has just been named Company of the Year Award Telecoms Provider in IaaS Europe, 2014 by the analyst firm Frost & Sullivan. It’s the eighth award Interoute VDC has received since we launched the service at the end of 2012, but by far the hardest to win. Why? Because there’s no way to enter these awards. No entry form. No time pressured judges. And no sponsors to please.

Interoute has completed the ISAE 3402 and SSAE 16 type II assurance report for our Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva and London Data Centre operations.

G-Cloud provides the UK public sector with a simple and efficient way to purchase ICT services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and cloud professional services. Our award winning Interoute Virtual Data Centre (VDC) has formed part of the G-Cloud’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) supplier list since it launched in 2012. Now in its fourth framework iteration, G-Cloud 4 provides the public sector with a list of pre-approved suppliers offering the best and most cost effective cloud services.
  Here at Interoute we're not shy about telling everyone that we think Interoute Virtual Data Centre is the best cloud service out there. So, we are of course very glad to see others rating our cloud highly too!

A brief recap; we have exposed the RESTful, jClouds compliant, VDC Application Programming Interface so that you can interface with the service at the software level. It enables you to bypass the GUI (which uses the same API) and integrate the service with your existing provisioning or management tools. The first post detailed how to create Virtual Appliances and create Virtual Machine instances from templates.
